Vintage Orrefors Sweden Marin Vertical Cut Clear Flower Vase by Jan Johansson
Jan Johansson (1942–2018) was a Swedish silversmith and glass designer who studied at the University of Arts, Crafts & Design (Konstfack) in Stockholm. He began his career as a designer at AGA in Stockholm and joined Orrefors in 1969, where he designed bowls, vases, candlesticks, and sculptures. His work is associated with clean shapes and cut crystal that combines contemporary style with a sense of tradition.
The Marin collection, introduced in the mid-1970s, showcases Johansson's signature style of clean lines and precise cuts. The vertical cuts in the clear crystal create a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, enhancing the vase's visual appeal.
